Calibre Workforce is proud to partner with The Aireys Pub and Salt Brewing Co, a well-established iconic Great Ocean Road business. The business was re-born and re-furbished 8 years ago and has been going strong ever since. The Pub is a successful seasonal business, it is steady through winter and very busy through summer. They are seeking a motivated, experienced Sous chef.


Qualifications & experience

  • Extensive experience in busy kitchens
  • Qualified Chef
  • Exceptional people management skills
  • Extensive food knowledge
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia
  • A genuine love of great food is essential.


Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse kitchen team and culture
  • Designing and developing menus
  • Controlling Food Cost
  • Controlling Labour Cost
  • Managing food hygiene and safety
  • Working closely with the Head Chef, Venue Manager and General Manager
  • Hands on cooking in a very busy kitchen
  • Ability to manage the challenges of a seasonal business
  • Manage and build relationships with Suppliers
  • Ability to attract and keep chefs
